The Bourne Identity

The Bourne Identity (the book) rules. Big time.

I had seen the movie quite a while and very much enjoyed it, so when I got the chance to be part of a “bookray over at bookcrossing.com of the book, I definitely was interested. Yesterday evening I finished the book and wow. What a great book! Even though I had seen the movie, the book was definitely a thing of it's own. Robert Ludlum writes in such a great way, with lots of tension building up. Usually, I only read on the train, and not at home, because I have more than enough other things to do at home, but yesterday evening I made an exception. I just had to finish the book. Had to read those last 20-odd pages. And immediately after, I put The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum onto my wishlist. I have not seen the movie of The Bourne Supremacy yet and I don't think there's even a movie yet of The Bourne Ultimatum, but I definitely want to read the books now. I want to know how it goes from here.

gravatar Horst: No, there is no movie of The Bourne Ultimatum yet. I’m still hopeful though ;) But the 2nd movie was really great (I even enjoyed it more than the first one) but it’s more hard to watch thanks to the very fast camera movements. I loved that but other people on amazon hated it, like everytime g
gravatar Filip de Waard: Yes, thats an entertaining book. I still have to read the other two, though, and I haven’t seen the new movie either.

I guess I should start reviewing books on my weblog. I read about a book a week (mostly English thrillers and literature, and some non-fiction). I really recommend the Dante Club, the Rule of Four and the book I’m reading right now which is called the Shadow of the Wind.
gravatar left: The Rule of Four is definitely on my wishlist. Ever since encountering bookcrossing.com though, I’ve been finding out I like a lot of genres I previously never read. I used to read fantasy and sci-fi exclusively, which is now something of a faraway past. I do read fantasy and sci-fi still, but also thrillers, literature, some political books, all kinds of stuff.
gravatar Andrew: Yeah, I really enjoyed Ludlum’s Bourne Identity series. I picked up on it a few years back. I have yet to read The Bourne Supremacy, unfortunately.

However, I’ve seen the [American] movie for The Bourne Supremacy. The timeline doesn’t match up with the actual book with the same title too well.
gravatar Filip de Waard: Nice :)

Yesterday, I’ve acted on the idea of writing book reviews, but I’ve started a seperate weblog for those at http://www.BooksWeblog.com. There already are two articles published so far, but no reviews of the books I mentioned yet. Those will be coming as soon as my schedule allows me to spend the time required to write them. So bookmark the site or subscribe to the RSS feed :)

I’d love to know what you (and your other readers!) think about this new site and I’m open to suggestions and feedback to improve the site…
