Cool dutch PHP events with a taste of Symfony

As I mentioned earlier this year is a good year for PHP events in The Netherlands. The pfCongrez has come and gone, and was a great experience, and now two new events are coming, both of which in one way or the other I am involved in and proud of.

As I mentioned earlier this year is a good year for PHP events in The Netherlands. The pfCongrez has come and gone, and was a great experience, and now two new events are coming, both of which in one way or the other I am involved in and proud of. So let's give both the spotlight: PHP Bootcamp PHP Bootcamp is an event we at Dutch Open Projects are organizing on June 2nd. It is a free event and I'm proud to be able to announce to you that we've been able to get some leading people from the world of PHP Frameworks to speak at our event. François Zaninotto, one of the leading forces behind the Symfony project will be joining us for a session on Symfony. Thomas Weidner, the Zend Framework developer with the most components on his name, will be joining us to give a talk on what the Zend Framework is about. Unfortunately, I can not confirm the Joomla! speaker yet, but we've invited a leading name from that community as well. I am really excited about this event. I surely hope that Dutch Open Projects will be able to give something to the dutch PHP community by organizing an event like this. Dutch PHP Conference The Dutch PHP Conference is an event organized by iBuildings and Zend to replace the International PHP Conference, which used to be in Amsterdam but has been moved to Germany. This conference costs 75 euro for early birds and 100 euro regular price, and gives a whole day of speakers including Cal Evans and Gaylord Aulke, two big players in the PHP community. I am very proud to be presenting the Symfony framework during this conference. In a 45-minute session I'll be highlighting the Symfony framework, and sharing some of my experiences during the development of a pretty complex web-based application called "Jongeren in Beeld". This conference takes place on June 16th (my birthday). I am looking forward to both of these events a lot. Really *a lot*. The Dutch PHP Community stirs and wakes up. Finally we have some great events here!
